Book Review

I participate in a program called booksneeze. As part of this program I received the book "Same Kind of Different as Me" By Ron Hall and Denver Moore. I seriously loved this book. It was a quick read and a great story. It's a true story about a black man and former slave, Denver Moore, who ends up living on the streets. Ron Hall and his wife volunteer their time helping the needy in their city and meet Denver there. It is an amazing story of friendship. I enjoyed reading the different perspectives of both Ron and Denver .. especially when telling the same story. It was neat to see their differing points of view regarding the same situation.
I was reading this book on a flight (to Denver actually .. ha ha) and the stewardess stopped dead in her tracks and proceeded to tell me what a great book I was reading. She said she LOVED that book, and has lent it to everyone she knows. She even said that she always keeps more then a couple copies on hand to give or lend out to others. Obviously this book has touched peoples lives. I would recommend this book to anyone who can read! It is such an inspirational book and very uplifting. I love that there is a happy ending, even amidst so much tragedy.
Thanks booksneeze for this opportunity! Which reminds me, these are my opinions .. and I wasn't compensated to give my opinion. And, if you want to borrow the book, let me know!
