Giving Thanks

Our Thanksgiving this year was GREAT, as always. I ended up taking the kids up to Idaho tuesday and Tyler followed us up Thursday after eating grub with his family. He cooks some mean potatoes, so I was bummed to miss out on that. Luckily, I'm married to him and can request them any time I want! We had lunch at my house and boy does my mom know how to cook. It was all my siblings and my little family (minus Tyler until that evening) my niece Maddison and my sister Ashley's room-mate Anna. Thank goodness Anna came, she brought the BEST chocolate/peanut butter cheesecake ever.
Of course we go around the table and say what we're thankful for, and I bawled like a baby. I've learned to not wear mascara until after lunch. When it was Kennedy's turn to be thankful she got shy, so we skipped her. Then she said "It's my turn to say what I'm thankful for!" So we asked her, and she said "I'm thankful for my sister and brother." Again, good think I wasn't wearing mascara. It was so sweet.
And what better way to spend your thanksgiving then leaving your kids and running away to Boise for the weekend (with the nursing baby of course.) Tyler loves Boise State Football, and they're undefeated again this year. It was their last game of the season and we had 50 yard line front row seats! Aside from it being FREEZING and we had to take our 4 month old with us (in his carseat!) and we were so close I saw the players peeing...yea, grose....but aside from that, it was SO MUCH FUN! The people around us were really nice, and since we had front row seats, his car seat wasn't hitting anyone in the back of the head or anything. He only cried once and that was when he wanted some food. I looked like a dork pulling out his little bowl of cereal, adding formula beans and water...my diaper bag is bigger then I thought. But at least he was good after that. We only got up once more and went to the bathroom where their were heaters and I let him stretch his legs a bit. He really was a peach.
We stayed in a really nice hotel, ordered take out shopped like crazy (but not as CRAZY as I did with my sisters and mom on black friday. We got everything we were looking for and were done in 3 hours. PHEW! We are such dorks that early in the morning...but very entertaining!)
Other then missing my Fowler family, Thanksgiving was perfect. I love this time of year, I'm reminded of how much I have to be thankful for. I hope you all had a great day too! Here are some pictures from our Boise trip. Does anyone else struggle taking pictures of themselves? Tyle and I ALWAYS look like a 2 headed monster...I'm usually missing an eye. At least I took pictures, I usually forget the camera!

Yes, yes it was a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are so blessed. We sure enjoyed your visit. Tending the girls was a blast. This grammy bussiness is really fun.

Look how cute he is! I'm jealous of anyone who can get their nursing baby to take a pacifier! Aja loves to play with it more than suck it. Cohen would have nothing to do with it. Glad you had fun at the game and got to get away for a bit!

I must have read your post wrong... cuz I think it said something about coming to Boise and not calling me... ;) Glad you guys had fun at the game. Us BSU students are really sick of our football team, but the Boise-ians are obsessed. Did Tyler go to BSU?

Tyler, it's Big Mike. Your family is getting big, and it looks like wrestling has made you lose some weight. Hope the teaching is going well.
