Having 3 children is easier then I thought it would be, but there are definitely time when things get CRAZY! Taking pictures for our family Christmas card for example. Being the slacker that I am, I didn't take them until the friday before Christmas this year.
I bathed the kids...all 3 by 9:30 that morning. That in itself is a Christmas miracle! Then I painted the girls finger/toe nails and got them in their new church dresses. I even curled their hair and put bows in ... WOW. Then I got Lincoln all handsomed up in his new outfit and we're ready to go! WAIT...I haven't decorated the tree yet...and is it turning brown already? I FORGOT TO PUT WATER IN THE TREE STAND!! So I put all the lights on, and why is the wrong end of the plug at the bottom, next to the outlet? OH, I put the lights on wrong, I put the part that plugs into the outlet at the top. SMART! So, instead of restringing all the lights, I grab a big old white extension cord and string it from the top of my tree to the bottom where the outlet is. At least it's kinda in the back. So, now we have to add some decorations. Just a few, we're OUT OF TIME!!!
Then the picture taking begins. Have you ever tried to get 3 crazy little kids to look at the camera at the same time, and to even smile while looking at the camera? Nope? Didn't think so. It's HARD! You will see by the picture that we chose, that it's as good as it gets. Kinda blurry (my camera is about dead) but hey, they're all looking and smiling (however cheesy it may be) at the same time!! We ended up running to Target to print the pictures, and then the post office for stamps, and mailed the cards. I ran out of stamps and may have to hand deliver a few at my grandpa/ma's party after Christmas. But seriously, the fact that I even got them in the mail friday still amazes me. Enjoy our funny photo shoot!
