Well, she's not potty trained. Let's start with that. But she sits on her little potty seat so well. That's a good start right? I just don't think she's ready. I'm SO SO sick of hearing people tell me to just "make" her. Yea, like I can make the kid go. I'm the one that has to buy and change her diapers, and I'm fine with it. BACK OFF. (I doubt anyone that even reads this has ever even said anything, but seriously I hear people all the time, tell me she should be ready, and look astonished to hear she isn't.)
In the words of my pediatrician (whom I LOVE) "where are your social graces?" seriously.
I was at my parents house a month or two ago, and while I was in the bathroom doing makeup or hair or something or other... Kennedy comes in and without a word takes of her clothes (that's a regular ordeal, she must be naked to pee in th potty.) sits on the potty, pees, wipes, flushes, puts her clothes back on and walks out of the room again, without a word. Mom, you were there, you can attest to the fact, she can go in the potty. We both just looked at eachother, jaws dropped and laughed and laughed.
I'm going to wait until she's 3. Tyler's mom has a good point, wait until the fall when she won't want to be outside all day. Yep, sounds good to me. As long as the kid is ready before kindergarten, I'm good. So to all the parents, with prodigy children, bite me. :) like the girl at my last craft class who's kids both potty trained themselves by 18 months.
