As usual, we headed up to I.F for the 4Th. As usual, it didn't disappoint!
I was dead set on not going to the parade. But come parade morning, my dad offered to take Kennedy. Okay. then Reagan felt bad. So they took Reagan too. My dad let me know that he would watch Lincoln too if we came. Not 2 minutes after they left, the guilt set in. So we Tyler, Lincoln and I hurried over. Thanks for the guilt trip dad!
The kids enjoyed themselves, so I'm glad we went. It wasn't too hot and they loved the floats.
We had our annual Reese BBQ at the park, and even though our numbers are dwindling every year, we still had fun catching up with family.
Then off the the Meikle BBQ! It was almost cancelled, because most were busy with family on the unMeikle side. Thankfully grandma, Ida and Kim humored us Reese's and had the BBQ anyway. THANK YOU!
Next up the Biggest Firework Show west of the Mississippi River ... seriously google it.
As usual, PERFECT! I cry every year, and this year was no exception. The fireworks are set to music on a local radio station and it's such a great show. I'm always reminded how grateful we should be for the people who have and are currently laying their lives down for our country. I'm definitely Proud to be an American!
Our photo shoot. The kids can't hold still. Enjoy the cuteness.
