We had quite an adventurous Easter Eve ... that seems to be the norm for our family.
Let's back track 1 week. I somehow missed the fact that Easter and conference were the same weekend. That means no Easter dresses the Sunday before Easter. I did pick the frilliest dresses I could find in their closet and called it good, and I think I was THE only one who was feeling bad. The girls don't know what an Easter dress is, and there dad says there is no such thing.
Now, because I forgot that Easter coincides with conference, that also means I forgot to take the kids to an Easter egg hunt the week before. Strike 2 mom.
Back to Easter Eve. Tyler and I drove all the flip to Bountiful to take the kids to our favorite hunt. Weren't we surprised when we pulled up and find the parking lot empty with a postponed sign? Strike 3 mom.
I was expecting a FIT from the girls, but they just looked so sad. So, I did what any normal person would do...promised glorious prizes from Walmart. We let them pick a new toy and a treat. It was of course 2 new littlest pet shops. Lincoln got some new bath toys, and they picked Easter eggs full of chocolate. Does that take me back down to strike 1 .. 2 maybe?
I then made them sit in the car FOREVER with Tyler while I ran in a dozen antique/boutiques downtown. And then there was the D.I. Retail therapy works people!
Fast forward to 9:00 p.m. It's bedtime, he was tired, not thinking clearly, maybe he thought it was koolaid. This is how we roll at the Fowler's house.
Exhibit A:
Was I surprised he was alive in the morning? A little. Who drinks egg dye and vinegar, honestly?!

Your eggs rocked!!! And I know just what you mean about the dress! I was quite sad that my daughter was the only one without a new dress last Sunday. It ticks me off because I am so lame!
So I just love that little boy....I am kinda thinking that boys are not so bad since he came along....but I still have to have my little girl first, if ya know what I mean!! So I hope that when I have kids that our life is JUST as adventurous as yours.. :D
I love how your eggs turned out! The kids look so happy!
