Baby Lincoln has finally arrived! Here are the stats ...
Born : 7/11/08 at 7:14 a.m.
Weight: 8 lbs 15 oz
Length: 22 inches
Cuteness factor: 10+
Labor was breezy, even though the epidural wore right off. At least he came quick once that happened. He was a little jaundice so the hospital kept him an extra day. He recovered quickly and we brought him home Monday. He nurses really well, and sleeps pretty good. Here's hoping both continue!!
Both girls already LOVE him so much. Reagan wants to hold him ALL day, and gets sad if I don't let her. When I go to take him from her, she says "no done mom." Kennedy always wants her turn to hold him too and says "he's cutie" and "look at his little tiny fingers!"
More funny thing she's said "mom! his bum looks like a turtle!" I guess she's never seen little boy parts. Also, "don't touch your boobies mom!" I was just trying to nurse him. "He's biting you?!" "I don't want to see his poop! Ohh, he's stinky!" "Don't touch his belly button, he's cryin mom." The hits keep on rollin with Kennedy. So far things are going well, but I haven't tried to leave the house alone with all 3 kids yet...so, we'll see :) Life goes on, and I'm sure we'll get into a routine soon...it has been easier then I expected.
Thanks to my family for coming down and for my mom who stayed a few extra days too... and the hospital visits from the hubbys family too. We're blessed to have such supportive family and a healthy baby. Check out my sister Ashley's blog (under my family links.. This is 1 proud Grandma! I couldn't believe how loving and tender Reagan was right from the very start. Kennedy loves him so much, the look on her face is pure love. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of Lincoln's first few days. You have a very special family. I must say that I am missing "my" kids. Even Reagan little devilish streak. Keep up the good work.
Oh I am so happy for you...I have been checking every day to see if you had your little guy yet or not! Congrats, I am so excited for you...told you it would be easier than you thought! I have to check your sister blog to see the pics, but I bet he is adorable! Isn't it amazing how wonderful the little ones do with the new arrival!
