We went to bear lake this weekend with our friends the millers. Kennedy was pretty good in the water this time. We've been taking her to the swimming pool by our house every wed. for the last month or two, so she's starting to LOVE the water. She loves throwing the $10 frisbee with her papa too. Who pays $10 for a frisbee honestly? Oh yea, Tyler. Too bad I lost her swimsuit last time we went. And it was SO cute too. Thank goodness Old Navy still had a few on clearance. Tyler was peeved that they only had 2 pieces. And to top it off she was falling out of the top the whole time. I bought a size 2 instead of 18-24 months...she's almost 2. I guess the clothing makers for old navy think baby girls start developing at age 2 or something.
We left Saturday morning, and played at the lake all day. We were going to go home that night, but Kennedy was pooping her guts out! Sorry, kinda graphic. And to anyone who has never changed a swim diaper after a big #2...I hope you never have to. I had to change 2! Maybe 3 bananas in one day is too many. The 2nd one I almost hurled. I was screaming for Tyler, because you have to just rip the sides of the diaper open...and Kennedy created her own lake "poo lake." It was horrible. I just wadded everything up and threw it away while Tyler gave K.J a bath in the lake. Because of the horrible diapers and short nap etc... we decided that 1 hour to Grace sounded much better then 3 hours home. So, we surprised ma and pa Fowler and stayed the night there.
Boy were we unprepared. I didn't have undies, Kennedy had 1 wet wipe left (and pooped 2 more times after getting to Grace!!!!!!) and no play pen, bottle etc etc etc. But can I just say I LOVE MY BABY! I was so scared she wouldn't sleep because she's never slept anywhere other then her crib or play pen. But at 9:30 or so I went back and layed in the bed with her. I tried humming to her, and she just hummed along with me and laughed. Then I tried to rub her face to calm her down and she kept saying "hey!" and laughing. She was pretty entertained. But, she didn't even whine once. After almost 2 hours she fell asleep and slept all night until 8:00. It was great. I was a proud mama.
p.s my dang pictures won't upload again. I'll post them later!
